Your home is the ultimate canvas for self-expression. From the lighting fixtures to wall color items in your home should reflect who you are, spark memories of past adventures, inspire new ones and be the ultimate statement of your style.
Instead we often settle for decor with little self relevance or imagination. Cookie cutter decor void of visual aesthetics and most importantly void of you. You are vibrant and worldly. You make a statement in all areas of your life; your home should make a statement as well.
Now it can.
I’m Anitra Terrell and I design decor for culturally inspired people who love unique, colorful pieces reflektive of who they are. Using a curated approach to sourcing textiles and a discerning eye for pattern I offer products that help you to create a home that feels amazingly bold and culturally expressive.
Say goodbye to humdrum decor and hello to decor that sparks conversations and makes you smile every time you walk into your space.
My product line includes throw pillows, floor/meditation pillows, curtains, wall art and bedding. We specifically chose Ankara fabric (also known as African Dutch Wax fabric) as the foundation textile for our brand because of its vibrancy, history and cultural significance.
Fabrics are sourced globally products made in Los Angeles, California.
My mantra is Your home, your style reflekted.
B.S & MBA in Marketing (prior to 10th grade I wanted to be a veterinarian but I took one intro to marketing class in 11th grade and was hooked!)
Over 15 years experience curating cultural events and exhibits. My first big break was as a textile buyer/event consultant for a museum client. (I spent five weeks in Ghana, West Africa and loved every minute of it!).
Reflektion Design launched in 2013 because: 1) I was laid off from my job and took it as a sign that it was time to forge my own path & 2) I wanted to share my love of material culture and design influenced by my travels abroad.
I live in northeast Los Angeles, an area with a quaint small town vibe (although I’m originally from the city of brotherly love - Philadelphia!)
Outside of design my second passion is music. (I dabble in songwriting and produce an online podcast, The LDub Experience on mixcloud.com)
I started my first business when I was 13 years old. (I made and sold letter pillows to the other girls in my class.)
I am obsessed with Ethiopian food, statement ethnic jewelry, incense, design books, and Game of Thrones (go Starks!)
