African print fabric table runners are perfect for adding a pop of color and texture to your dining space, while also celebrating the rich culture and history of Africa.

Making an African print table runner is an easy way to incorporate this style into your home decor. Lay the table runner down the center of your table, or  diagonally across the table for a more dramatic effect. Pair it with neutral-colored plates and cutlery to let the runner stand out, or mix and match with colorful plates for a more eclectic look.

Another great thing about African print table runners is that they are versatile enough to work with a variety of decor styles. Whether your aesthetic is bohemian, modern, or traditional, there is an African print fabric pattern that will complement your style perfectly.

Don't be afraid to to mix and match patterns. A patchwork table runner made with smaller sized African fabric scraps would be just as unique.

Throw pillows are a great way to incorporate African print fabrics into your decor without overwhelming the room. They are easy to swap out with the seasons or whenever you feel like refreshing your space. 6. Ankara Fabric Wall Art

A no sew spring decor idea is framed or stretched African print fabric. This is one of my favorite ways to decorate with African fabric because it's easy, unique and a vibrant way to decorate your walls.

You can stretch African fabric on a canvas frame. This method involves using a staple gun to attach the fabric to a wooden frame, creating a clean and polished look that's easy to hang on your walls. You can choose to use one large piece of fabric as a focal point or create a gallery wall by combining several smaller pieces.

A second way to display African print fabric as wall art is to frame it. This method involves using a picture frame to encase the fabric, creating a more traditional and polished look. You can choose to use a simple black or white frame for a minimalist look or choose a more ornate frame for a more dramatic effect.

Can you image the beautiful gallery wall you can create with framed or stretched Ankara fabric. The possibilites are endless and easy to do.

Spring is the perfect time to bring some color and cheer to your outdoor spaces too, and what better way to do it than with African print fabric bunting. This decorative item is easy to make, versatile, and can be used in a variety of settings.

Use indoors on your mantle, bookshelf or child's room for a playful, whimsical vibe. Or bring your outdoor space to life by decorating your a pergola or gazebo.  If you have a pergola or gazebo in your backyard, add some color and interest by hanging African print fabric bunting from the rafters. The bunting will create a festive atmosphere for outdoor gatherings and events.

If you instead have a fence hang bunting on the fence: use bunting to dress up a plain wooden or metal fence. Hang the bunting in between the fence posts to create a colorful border for your backyard.

Making African print fabric bunting is easy and can be done with just a few basic supplies like fabric, scissors, string, and a sewing machine (or fabric glue if you prefer a no-sew option). Cut the fabric into triangles and sew (or glue) the triangles onto the string. Hang your bunting wherever you'd like to add a touch of color and cheer.

Give your old lamp a fresh look with a DIY African fabric lampshade.

There are many different African fabrics to choose from, each with its own unique patterns and colors. Look for fabrics with bright and bold colors, such as oranges, pinks, and yellows, that will add a pop of color to your space. Consider the scale of the pattern as well, as some fabrics have smaller or larger patterns that can make a big impact.

Consider the style of your lamp as well. African fabric lamp shades work well with a variety of lamp styles, but you'll want to consider the shape and size of your lamp before choosing fabrics.

Drum shades are a popular choice for African fabric shades because they allow the fabric's patterns to be fully displayed. However, you can also choose other shapes such as bell or empire shades. You can also mix and match different lamp bases to create a unique and personalized look.

All you need is a lamp shade frame (or your existing lamp shade), some Ankara fabric, and a hot glue gun. Simply wrap the fabric around the frame or shade and glue it in place. You can even experiment with different patterns and textures to create a one-of-a-kind shade.
